We are very lucky to welcome 2 new teachers who are going to be working with us at the Bronze level. Thank you Annie and Tim for sharing their valuable time and expertise with us.
Our first practice back was great! Remember that you should be trying to pass a skill every week. If it's a tougher skill, such as the D scale in 3rds, then you may have to take 2 weeks. Regular practice throughout the week is key! Our mass B-Group piece is The Bare Necessities from Disney's The Jungle Book, and our Bronze group piece is Rocky Mountain. We only just started the pieces and it's already sounding great. This year is a Ukes Unlimited year and we will be learning Chit Chat Blues, and Lion Sleeps Tonight.
In other news, I will hopefully be compiling some simple songs that we can learn quickly each week to help expand our repertoire and practice skills such as sight-reading, sight-singing, and strumming patterns.
